Samsung is good in playing with the emotions of their customers. Yesterday Samsung (UAE) confirmed the ICS for Samsung S II GT-I9100G will be available at the end of April, 12. The news came from their official Arabia Twitter account.

It’s really bad to see that Samsung is taking so long for releasing ICS for G model. Now, don’t you think you made a mistake by choosing G model, instead of non-G model. Yes..Yes I know, it’s not your mistake, it is samsung who has been duping the customers. They quitely replaced the non G model with the I9100G in the Asian countries.
What are your thoughts on Samsung duping its customers and selling G model in the box 19100? Please let us know in the comments below.

its not about ICS coming or not. they cheated when selling G version. people who never owns a galaxy s 2, dont know anything about the G model. when go to the phone seller, they will only ask for galaxy s2.
you know, customers are clever enough to know there is difference when something is called galaxy s and galaxy s plus. but this i9100g, it is called galaxy s 2 , same name for the original i9100.

I agree, Samsung was most unfair to their asian buyers by slyly pawing of the I9100G as
a I9100 model. There was nothing to distinguish the models on the box cover. I hope Samsung does not
play such mischievous games in the future or they risk alienating even their hardcore fans like me.

I don’t think If I am ever going to buy any of the samsung’s product in future. I made a big mistake by buying the Galaxy I9100G and i am really regret it.
It really sucks how a company like samsung playing suck a mischievous game..!!

I bought Samsung Galaxy S2 as well and I love it. It work perfectly well. It plays all what I want. It is not heating as 9100. Why you guys are soooo angry with that??? Yes I was slightly dissapointing with G stuff as well when I bought it and only after learned about it. But device is still cool:) Is it not?:)

I guess it’s not a direct con job, the G model has better battery life and no overheating but here I disagree coz my G overheats and freezes by itself. Battery drains to zero and I’m not even aware. If it doesnt freeze then i get very good battery with 70% left a night with emails and phone calls only. Waiting for ICS hopefully will fix the freezing problem. My previous LG P500 was so much more stable and problem free except it’s slow and small screen. Htc seems a better choice with more frequent and easier updates.

There was same issue with my G version. I upgraded it to 2.3.6 (XWLC2) & all the camera, overheating , freezing issues are resolved.

gt-i9100 is RM2099 when 1st come out
gt-i9100g is 1899 when its come out.
dont compare the g or no g version dude. u guys just want to buy a cheap s2. thats why samsung make a cheaper model for s2.

samsung india stated that ics for i9100G will be able at the end of April.so the samsung german,and samsung china..but china already leaked,but there r no “positive”feeedback received for using tht update in china(only user in china)..

Hi, mien is G version also…..camera freeze once ( hard reset ) no problems since then. Music player freeze every time using headphone after 2,3 songs sometime 1/2 song have tried almost all player in google play. same problem. Good news, install Media Player version 1.1 from SamsungApps. no freezing anymore.
Samsung malaysia said iCS comin anytime soon. so just wait. the longer the better coz Galaxy Nexus with ICS also got issues.
