I have some goods news for the Galaxy S II (I9100G) users out there. The Ice cream sandwich version for I9100G smart phones, will be coming on March 19th or so. It is great news for S II users, who are using a different version (I9100G) of the Samsung flagship model.
Samsung started the upgrading process for its flagship model Galaxy S II I9100 model, and users were very disappointed because of no updates on I9100G model.
The news has been confirmed by the Samsung representative from their FAQ page. Although, we still don’t know if Samsung would keep up with their word or not, but now that we have a specific release date, it may be a good time to start saving.
Earlier Samsung confirmed that they will be releasing the Android 4 Ice cream version to all their flagship phones.
We promised that we’re working on it. You waited patiently. On 15 March it comes: the Android version 4, ICS, tens of thousands of the devices purchased GALAXY SII cellular companies in the country or directly from us. We here are very excited for the launch, hope you
Here’s the video (by cnet) comparing the Gingerbread and Ice cream version on Galaxy S II (I9100) model.
The only reason we didn’t get an update because it was a pre release just to test out if things will work with I9100 and G version wasn’t included in the Pre releases. I will be checking my G version for Ice cream sandwich, regularly and will keep you updated.

Update: Samsung just updated with their Twitter account, that ICS for G model will be available at the end of April,12.
